Don’t contradict yourself

Two days ago, I listened to John C. Maxwell’s latest Audio Book, titled “Leadership Gold.” In the preface, he mentioned that he had been wanting to write such a book for a while, but he strove to wait until he turned 60 before writing it. There is a wisdom to hold yourself off, especially when you are about to make a statement. Chances are, the longer you wait, the less you contradict yourself.
If you do public speaking for living, watch what you say. Self contradiction can be very expensive. Ask Hillary Clinton, or John Kerry if you need some proofs.
