Cloudy, with a Chance of Fish. Literally !

An interesting reading I got this morning was about a small town of 700 in Australia, Lajamanu, that had an interesting rain. A fishy rain! While quite freaky, apparently fish rain is not too rare, a documentary video below accounts about 600 occurrence in a year. The interesting thing about this one is that the [...]

Git resources for svn users

Many Subversion (svn) users are jumping the wagon to the coolest new kid in the source code management tool block, Git. Git does provide a lot of improvements over svn, but it can be very unintuitive at times. These two are more different than they are alike, so it’s just wouldn’t work to simply use [...]

Ezra at Sourceforge

I was looking for my exact username in Sourceforge, so I searched for ‘ezra.’ Look what I found: an open source project named after me! http://sourceforge.net/projects/ezra/ I know, I know… It was probably not named after this pompous and megalomaniac Ezra…

Highlight of the day, I’ve been plagiarized

It’s often said that for recorded artists to have really made it if Weird Al Yankovic has make a parody of their works. First, I was surprised to find out that there were so [...]

Tribute

While graduating from Penn State, I bulk-applied to any jobs in the school job bank that has a word ‘Open Source’ in the description. My resume was attractive. Stated in there, a thesis about using Ant-based algorithm to solve an NP-complete problem. Spikesource wanted someone who can speak Apache Ant, the build tool. I was [...]

Rain and Change

Today and this weekend, we are going to have a long period of light rain here in they Bay. The west coast wet winter is getting closser, I guess, and for once I am loving it. My wife and I bought a house prior to our wedding, it’s a small house (1200 sq feet) in [...]
